MAP OF BENIN
Country of West Africa
Description
Benin is a francophone country in West Africa. It is the cradle of voodoo religion, but also the territory of the former Kingdom of Dahomey (about 1600-1900). In Abomey, the ancient capital of Dahomey, the historical museum occupies two royal palaces adorned with bas-reliefs depicting the history of the kingdom and a throne mounted on human skulls. To the north, Pendjari National Park offers game drives to elephants, hippopotamuses and lions;
